A: Beginners should start by working out 3 times a week. After 6 weeks it is safe to increase the intensity of your workout program.

Q: What is cross-training?
A: Cross training is the practice of combining different methods of training into your workout program. Instead of running everyday, cross training allows you to vary your daily activities. Cross training may help you avoid injuries by lessening the continued stress on certain joints and muscles.

Q: How long will it take me to see results?
A: You should begin to feel the results of working out almost immediately. Overall increase in strength and loss of weight take an average of 4 to 6 weeks to achieve.

Q: When is the best time to stretch?
A: It is best to stretch at the end of your workout when your muscles are warm. If you feel that you need to stretch before working out, do some light cardio to warm up before stretching.

Q: How much water should I drink?
A: Everyone should drink at least 8 8oz glasses of water per day. People who are active should drink more water to replenish the fluids lost during their workout.

Requirements for exercise are as individual as the people seeking it. There are differing body types and personal goals. You may wish to shed pounds, build muscles or gain a therapeutic effect for an injury. At Results Personal Trainers we will design a program that is ever changing and adapting to your goals and progress.
